When you think paper I am almost sure you have heard of Pennysmiths, a luxury papermaker and bespoke stationery boutique out of Los Ranchos, NM!  If you have not heard of them, I am glad you are here so I can tell you about this little gem we have right here in New Mexico.

Founded in 1979 by Penny Rembe, the store has been servicing New Mexico and beyond (thanks to the internet) for over 40 years! The name Rembe might sound familiar, as they also own Los Poblanos Historic Inn and Farm. We are going to miss the wonderful weddings at Los Poblanos but Pennysmiths has that special something to offer engaged and married couples all over the world. From Invitations, greeting cards, specialty stationery (thank you cards), and gifts to pens this luxury paper maker in Los Ranchos has it all. They’ve definitely perfected their craft. Pennysmith’s paper can make any imagination come to life!

Pennysmiths knows the little details matter and they are NOT just your Mother’s paper shop, additionally, they bring a modernized approach to today’s little luxuries. They are experts at what they do and cater to the new age of couples and Weddings, for years to come.

I had the joy of going into the store and sitting down with Emily, the owner of Pennysmiths to see some of the new breathtaking creations they have on hand. The store was well thought out. As a wedding planner, I focused my attention on the wedding invitation. If you are local to New Mexico, you can sit down with a designer and touch and feel ALL the amazing details and design your invites surrounded by beauty. Ahhh sounds like a dream come true! But, if you are not local to New Mexico that’s OK they offer their services worldwide.

I don’t live in New Mexico, can Pennysmiths still do my invites?

Yes!! Pennysmiths has expanded and is now available online. On the easy-to-navigate site you’ll quickly be able to see what you’re searching for and hopefully discover new treasures.

If you’re an out-of-state/ destination couple, no need to worry! Pennysmiths offers Zoom meetings to explore the many wedding invitations offered in store. On the zoom meeting, you will be able to speak with a knowledgeable representative, asking questions, seeing all the designs, and watch your dream come to life!

 Wedding Details and Pennysmiths

 The Invitations that I looked at held such beauty I realized just how much an invitation changes the magnitude of a wedding. This is the very first glimpse your guests see of your upcoming wedding. It sets the tone for what to expect of your event! Southwestern, boho, black tie?

Pennysmiths offers styles upon styles to choose from and I would certainly recommend setting some time aside to visit the store just off Rio Grande, next to Flying Star Café. The styles range from classic and elegant to modern and fresh. They also have a new line of Southwestern elements and can also offer venue illustrations if that’s your style!  Pennysmiths has so many high-end brands they work with giving you endless possibilities, the only problem you may stumble upon is you have too many favorites!

Aside from beautiful invitations, Pennysmiths has a very particular vernacular in the ettiequte that goes into wedding invitations. The last thing you want to have is to have a typo or incorrect wording on something you’re sure to treasure for years to come!! This store offers Save The Dates that work seamlessly into your wedding theme as well as with invitations. “Day of” items are also offered such as Programs, Menus, Napkins, Signage, Table Numbers, and Place Cards. They even offer totes for welcome bags and every single paper or sign you could imagine for your wedding day!  Each item is made with 40 years of expertise to make for a perfect invite.
