Santa Fe, oh Santa Fe. Chances are you know a thing or two about the fabulous Santa Fe! With countless qualities, I present to you why you should have your wedding in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Home to Georgia O’Keeffe, world renowned artist famous for her watercolor desert landscape paintings Santa Fe brings a unique backdrop. Full of romance, you can immerse yourself into the deep, and rich culture. See why an artist as famous as Georgia  O’Keeffe chose this beautiful city to draw inspiration from.

Rich with Natural Beauty

The city of Santa Fe ranges from historical adobe houses on the hills to a delightful basin landscape perfect for any wedding photo album. I promise, one look at the scenery alone and you’ll feel the magic! With the bright big open sky above you, you will feel free. Say goodbye to the stuffiness the world beings, Santa Fe is a grand approach to feeling connected and one with nature when you say I Do!

What about venues in Santa Fe?

Santa Fe is home to many of my all-time favorite venues. Each venue bringing a unique way to ensure your special day is nothing short of PERFECT! With a venue like La Fonda Hotel you will become surrounded with the rich history of Santa Fe. Built in 1922 complete with hand carved wood, stained glass skylights, and hammered tin chandeliers your wedding will be unlike any other.

La Posada De Santa Fe can be the bridge your weeding needs to feel both grand and intimate. La Posada, is a resort with Spanish, colonial style, but with luxury details. The resort offers 9 event rooms giving a lot of choice to the guestlist as well as design options. This resort has a beautiful courtyard to enjoy pre-wedding cocktails as Santa Fe is famous for Margaritas!

If you’re looking to tie-the-knot with a classic breathtaking background let La Mesita Ranch Estate be the wedding venue of your choice. As mentioned earlier, Santa Fe was a huge inspiration for Georgia O’Keeffe making this landscape one to be remembered. As the sun sets over the horizon, cotton candy skies take the show as the ground turns a warm pink and suddenly you’re in the most beautiful place on earth. La Mesita is a ranch estate and offers a large wedding celebration of up to 400 guests. The residence itself can accommodate 22 overnight guests and is sure to be a wedding admired for years to come.

Santa Fe Vendors!

Santa Fe is home to so many of my favorite vendors! Vendors include but are not limited to; your videographer, photographer, caterer, florist, venue, baker, musician, and your makeup artist! You can always have more vendors that aren’t mentioned here. For example, Santa Fe has amazing estheticians, maybe you want to have a little pre-wedding facial or an all-out spa day! CHEERS to that!!

Santa Fe has such an amazing culture it shines through all that they do! For instance, a tequila donkey is sure to be a memorable experience your guests likely will not get elsewhere. I mean check out this cutie!

Food in Santa Fe is an art in itself!

The caters in Santa Fe NM are known for producing tastes that you and your guests will LOVE! Did someone say Tacos? If Mexican cuisine isn’t quite your vibe there are chefs that can create exactly what you’re looking for! Lobster, Chicken, Filet Minion, even Barbecue can all be perfect by a Santa Fe cater.  Many of the caters will whip up a wonderful tasting experience for you and your hunny to try before you make the big decision so you never feel blindsided the day of your wedding. Now, Im feeling hungry!

Will Santa Fe work for me even if I don’t want a southwestern themed wedding?

Although, Santa Fe has a rich Spanish culture much of what your wedding will actually come out to be will depend on how you decide to decorate the space. For example, Florals will play a large role in your wedding theme and flower selection will ultimately help stray away from a southwestern theme. As will many other aspects of your wedding that you’re planning to use will bring your theme together keep in mind what you want to achieve.

I hope this blog has given you a little inspiration on what you want to do for your wedding day. Many people hear Santa Fe and think small town but they forget all the beauty that comes with this amazing, colorful, culture rich, city.
